not stable on amd64 if you need ldap automount configuration over tls.

i just got bit by #581172 and downgraded back to 5.0.7-r4

did you try to upgrade to 5.1.2? see bug 581172#c5, bug 578742#c6
or we can wait to stable the 5.1.2 ..
Comment 6 razamatan 2016-06-20 21:36:36 UTC
i'll try to skip to 5.1.2 tonight
Comment 7 razamatan 2016-06-20 22:11:11 UTC
got impatient. unmasking and version bumping to 5.1.2 w/o any config changes works for me. i'd like to see 5.1.2 marked stable and 5.1.1-r1 unstable.
Comment 8 Markus Meier gentoo-dev 2016-06-21 18:39:59 UTC
arm stable
Comment 9 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2016-06-25 14:18:37 UTC
It annoys me slightly that this version which caused me major panic as well, still is the stable version. Shouldn't it be masked?
Comment 10 Nick Bowler 2016-07-26 17:29:38 UTC
Indeed, current stable 5.1.1-r1 seems broken by default. Just hit #578742 after upgrade (and subsequent reboot) which made it impossible to login. Fun times.

Continued in bug #590304 (apparently).
