Description Ro 2004-07-27 16:27:20 UTC
Exactly like bug 52025 says, it segfaults after the splash screen.

Segfault Message:
python[688]: segfault at 0000000000e35000 rip 0000002a95d60f6a rsp 0000007fbfffdc38 error 6

ebuild versions I'm using:
Eric-3.4.2
qscintilla-1.60
PyQt-3.12
sip-4.0_rc2

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.exec eric3
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Splash screen appears, then segfaults.

Expected Results:
Opened up an IDE for Python coding. :-)

My emerge info:

Weirdness. On a whim I unemerged Eric3, PyQt, sip, qscintilla and qt in that order and emerged them individually in the reverse order. Guess what, it works great now! ebuild versions I'm now using:
Eric-3.4.2
qscintilla-1.60
PyQt-3.12
sip-4.0.1
qt-3.3.2
