Please find attached emtool-2.0.5.tgz and emtool-2.0.5.ebuild which contain the emtool package. emtool is yet-another-portage-tool - a gui interface to emerge and qpkg. The ebuild as supplied is suitable for inclusion as app-admin/emtool, but you may prefer to remove the RDEPEND for gentoolkit and merge this into gentoolkit. emtool has the benefit of not requiring gnome or kde to run. the .tgz file contains emtool, python modules, documentation, and a minimal man file which directs the user to read the documentation.

Is there any chance you could host the .tgz file elsewhere ? It makes it much easier for us if your package has its home page and lives on a stable web server somewhere. Also, you should add a proper ChangeLog.
Created attachment 2843 [details] Only the comment below is relevant You can disregard the current ebuild and .tgz file. I have made updates (more features) and added a ChangeLog as you requested. There remains the matter of a home for the .tgz file. I have no server to host this file. What do you suggest? I will submit the amended ebuild (now emtool-2.0.6) and .tgz file when you are ready. Thanks, Collins
We can easily enough host it on ibiblio.org for you, but then putting out updates may take longer for you, as all updates will have to go through bugzilla. If you're fine with that, please: 1) Merge dev-util/lintool-0.2.2 and run it on your ebuild file and changelog files: lintool --ebuild <yourebuildfile> lintool --changelog <yourchangelogfile> 2) When all is well, pack up your ebuild, digest and changelogs in a tgz file and attach to this bug. 3) Attach a versioned tar.gz of emtool to this bug. I'll take care of SRC_URI in the ebuild. It'd be nice if you could make a small homepage for it and set HOMEPAGE accordingly, but that's not really a big deal.
