Unless there's a specific reason to have 1.33.1 (other than that it's newer and 'better') on mac os x (I.E. some package depends on the newer version, which I can't fathom, but it's possible), making a g<util> out of this would be a waste of time.

Correct me if I'm wrong (by re-opening this bug).
Comment 2 Hasan Khalil (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-11 00:32:18 UTC
I'm so sorry. I'm a complete idiot. It's 3:29AM and I really should be asleep rather than trying to close bugs.

The reason I never marked 1.33.1 ~macos or macos was because it can possibly depend on perl libs which will currently not work in os x (or at least not properly). The older 1.2x version of help2man doesn't seem to have that dep (at least the ebuild doesn't). I'm testing it now.
Comment 3 Hasan Khalil (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-11 00:37:14 UTC
1.29 seems to work just fine. committing to cvs.

I won't close this bug till we have all our perl stuff in order.
Comment 4 Lina Pezzella (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-04 18:52:21 UTC
Closing this bug, since it seems to depend on any perl, not just gentoo's perl. Shouldn't have any issue with the perl stuff.

Closing out bugs that've been resolved for a while now...
