Running dolphin from a normal user and selecting the "properties" -> "share" tab, dolphin reports the following error: "samba is not installed on your system". Of course, samba is installed and working properly and such issue does not happen running dolphin by root. Also creating by hand the link /usr/bin/smbd -> /usr/sbin/smbd" seems to resolve the issue. I don't know if dolphin-15.* packages are affected too but by sure I did not have such issue with dolphin in KDE4.

Is "samba is not installed on your system" an exact quote or paraphrase? Just trying to track down exactly which component is responsible for this bug.
The exact quote is "Samba is not installed on your system." (of course with LANG=en).
Is this happening with any recent versions of samba or KIO? I'm on a samba share basically every day and there is no issue.
I removed the old handmade link and the "share" tab in dolphin works now. Thank you.
