I can't build kdelibs-3.1_alpha1 as there is a failed dependancy with the current version of arts. The error is: current aRts version: 1.0.2 (required: 1.1.x) but there is no such thing as arts 1.1.x the latest version is 1.0.6 which I do have installed. *Shrug*
Well, 1.0.6 _is_ 1.1.0 (long story). First off, 3.1_alpha1 is well outdated. beta1 should be released in a couple of weks; meanwhile current cvs has a lot of bugfixes over alpha1 and is much more stable. Consider using the current-CVS ebuilds (http://www.gentoo.org/~danarmak/kde-cvs.html). I tried to emerge arts-1.0.6 to see why the configure from 3.1_alpha1 didn't find it, but was stopped by all kinds of bugs fixed in cvs head. I don't want to spend time backporing fixes. Use cvs or wait for beta1; I will fix any bugs and problems with stable and current unstable ebuilds. Right now I'm declaring alpha1 deprecated.
A-OK Dan, you realize this was REALLY helpful right? Thanks :)
Well, that's how it is. I'm removing the alpha1 ebuilds from cvs, too.
