When booting the kernel 4.4.6 boot fails with this message:

Corruption warning: Metadata has LSN (1:5658) ahead of current LSN (1:2). Please unmount and run xfs_repair (>= v4.3) to resolve.

This has been discuses on the LKML and:

It comes down to this: XFS v5 on a v4.4 kernel requires xfsprogs v4.3

When you will be stabilized xfsprogs - 4.3?

+ + nls : Add Native Language Support (using gettext - GNU locale utilities)
+ + readline : Enable support for libreadline, a GNU line-editing library that almost everyone wants
 - - static : !!do not set this during bootstrap!! Causes binaries to be statically linked instead of dynamically
