I have tried to emerge the last three gphoto2 (2.1.4, 2.1.3, 2.1.2) releases, and in all cases I got the same problem: during compilation phase, the following error message is displayed: /usr/lib/libcdk.a(cdk.o)(.text+0x14a7): In function `moveCursesWindow': : undefined reference to `setbegyx' and the emerge halts. This could not be a problem with gphoto2, but with whatever of it's dependencies that owns that "libcdk" file. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge gphoto2 Actual Results: The dependences were all fetched and built correctly, but the package itself won't compile. Expected Results: Compile and install gphoto2. I am using Gentoo Linux 2004.1, installed during the week of 07/11-16.
Created attachment 36151 [details] The full output from the "emerge gphoto2" command. This is the full output from trying to emerge gphoto2's latest (2.1.4) release.
Did you try to re-emerge cdk and then emerge gphoto2?
re-emerging cdk solved the problem, thank you.
