a simple rename of app-text/jabref-bin-3.2 to app-text/jabref-bin-3.3 did the job. Jabref installs fine and runs.

I tried to change EAPI=5 to 6, but this requires some more work to get it running.

Hi Jonas, thanks! If I understand EAPI 6 correctly, we should remove eutils from the ebuild, right? I'll have a look. Are we at a point in tree that we can stabilize an EAPI 6 ebuild though?

To the best of my understanding it should be possible to stabilize an EAPI 6 package now. But I still have to learn more about it, so I can not help with this. Thank you for the bump.

I'll read up more on EAPI 6 as well and transition my packages slowly over to it. I'll close this ticket then.
