Upstream has determined that rbd-nbd command provides read-only access to RBD images, when it should be providing read-write access.

They have fixed this with this commit:
https://github.com/ceph/ceph/commit/4175db609c61ed22a1d8274f62ba834397ce6e6a

I'd like to get that commit included in our ebuild.

Could you provide a patch that actually applies against the 10.2.0 tarball

This patch is already included in Ceph 10.2.1.  I've created the version bump bugrequest (gentoo # 583194)

Fixed with 10.2.1 version bump
