It's not a build issue, but a file collision. Problem exists because you installed kde-plasma/kwayland-5.6.2 from kde overlay where it has since been pkgmoved to kde-frameworks/kwayland, but not in tree. Solution: Remove kwayland 5.6.2 before you try again.
Yes, this happens for users which installed kde-plasma/kwayland from kde overlay. Will be fixed when kde-frameworks/kwayland-5.22 will be released and moved to gentoo main tree. We will move kde-plasma/kwayland in gentoo tree then. Until then use the suggested workarround. This should not affect many users.
I should've been more precise, of course it is a file collision, not a build issue. Your workaround solution solved the file collision for me, thanks. This is an old system which sticks to kde-overlay for kde plasma.
