No download locations yet - you need to download the complete All-in-one .rpm from the Epson site and extract the plugin .rpm(s) from it, and copy them to /distfiles. But the ebuild works, and the scanner, too!!! This is just a slight modification of the V370 ebuild.
We have gone thought his before I believe with other iscan package. Proxy maintainers did not need mandatory CC but if someone wishes to prxy maintain, we can support a user accordingly.
I can confirm that this ebuild works with my Epson V550 scanner on amd64 Download iscan-perfection-v550-bundle-1.0.1.x86.rpm.tar.gz from epson. extract it and put iscan-plugin-perfection-v550-1.0.0-2.i386.rpm in /usr/portage/distfils Update /etc/sane.d/snapscan.conf and add the firmware /usr/share/iscan/esfweb.bin Add the Epson Perfection V550 to /etc/hotplug/usb/libsane.usermap Powercycle or physically reconnect the scanner and begin scanning. Can this be added to the Portage Tree, even as a masked ebuild if necessary.
i can verify this works. version 1.0.1.1 currently for ~amd64 so rename to iscan-plugin-perfection-v550-1.0.1.1.ebuild. i commented out x86 to make it work without the 32 bit rpms. what does it need to be in distro? fetch restriction and instructions for fetch? added to git?
