in gcalctool 4.3.51, when I click View -> Show Thousands Seperator, I still do not see any seperator even when my number is very large. It show that it's enable, but no different is noticed

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Fire up gcalctool
2. Enable Show Thousands Seperator
3. Make calculation involving large number

Actual Results:  
No seperator is found

Expected Results:  
A comma every 3 digits from the right. Example: 1,000 instead of 1000

according to the help browser this happens if your locale is set to plain C.
