Upstream sources and homepage 404. Root domain http://www.garloff.de/ still functional. Someone should probably contact upstream.
Please help me understand if this package is now simply obsolete since sg3_utils is shipping the same(?) script, also considering that sys-block/scsirastools is satisfied by either-or package, and could be cleaned up. Because right now this package is blocking cleanup of old EAPI-5 based sys-apps/sg3_utils-1.42.

The version of rescan-scsi-bus bundled in sg3_utils is differs than the final release by the rescan-scsi-bus upstream: because it got bundled and then both sides evolved separately. So what do to? At this point, probably remove rescan-scsi-bus and watch for bug reports where somebody depends on behavior that used to work and suddenly broke in the sg3_utils version.
Last-rited package has been removed.
