Version in current portage (0.9.15) is very very old, and incompatible with all useful (maintained) Django.

As of today the latest version is 0.13.3.

Did you prompt for this because it is 'there', or because you wish to use it ? I shall check on the demand for this first.

I use it, I'm a django developer. I have to use pip install currently, which I'd like to avoid.

Ian: I don't think we need to withhold version bumps somehow. If it's in the tree, it's probably better if we bump it.

sure. Some packages come and go in their use. Look at reviewboard. I shall do this now.

The testsuite is horrible under prepared to run at all. It appears to require django's django-admin.py but essential nodules are persitently reported as absent.
The stable version had tests restricted anyway.  Leaving the deps for tests in case someone figures how to run the test suite.  The bumped ebuild has all deps updated and builds and installs.

    set to RESTRICT since it is not ready to run in this tarball provided.
