it seems that kmatplot is dead and there is another project that uses the same code: qmatplot. Please delete this ebuild since it is obsolete.
I checked qmatplot (kmatplot's successor), and it looks like a dead project too. (No new release in more than a year, and it doesn't compile with qt-3.3.2.) If nobody objects, I will remove kmatplot from Portage.
qmatplot compiles on my amd64 and amd-tbird machine with qt-3.3.2 without any problems
My mistake. QMatplot does compile on x86. I removed KMatplot from Portage. I cannot test QMatplot on amd64 myself, though.
