Description Martin Väth 2016-03-14 18:12:17 UTC
This is my first keyword request, so please forgive me if I do something wrong.

dev-tex/biber and its dependencies was from the very beginning marked only ~amd64 but not ~x86; as it seems to me for no obvious reason:

I had installed it (and its dependencies) on an x86 without any problems since the very beginning, but only now I used (i.e. tested) it enough to file this bug.

I tested only the most current version dev-tex/biber-2.4.

I can confirm that it works without any problems on an x86 (even mainly stable) system.

Also the following dependencies need to be marked ~x86, because dev-tex/biber depends on them (most of them probably came into the repository only because biber needs them), and they have currently only the ~amd64 but not the ~x86 keyword:

dev-perl/Config-AutoConf
dev-perl/Encode-EUCJPASCII
dev-perl/Encode-JIS2K
dev-perl/ExtUtils-LibBuilder
dev-perl/Text-BibTeX
dev-perl/Text-Roman
dev-perl/Unicode-LineBreak

I had installed them (in their latest version) on my x86 version when testing biber. I made no specific tests for these packages, but I would be surprised if they break on x86. At least, I can confirm that they work in connection with biber.

FWICS, the current versions all have ~x86 keyword.
