I ran into this problem too. When I checked the USE flags with eix, I got this: # eix telepathy-qt * net-libs/telepathy-qt Available versions: 0.9.6.1 {debug farstream +qt4 qt5 test} Homepage: https://telepathy.freedesktop.org/ Description: Qt bindings for the Telepathy D-Bus protocol Since I've had a lot of packages which now enforce exclusive 'OR' regarding 'qt4' versus 'qt5', I added this to my USE directory item '/etc/portage/package.use/qt': net-libs/telepathy-qt -qt4 and tried again. Package compiled successfully. # emerge -1 =net-libs/telepathy-qt-0.9.6.1 Calculating dependencies... done! >>> Verifying ebuild manifests >>> Emerging (1 of 1) net-libs/telepathy-qt-0.9.6.1::gentoo >>> Installing (1 of 1) net-libs/telepathy-qt-0.9.6.1::gentoo >>> Jobs: 1 of 1 complete Load avg: 1.00, 0.99, 0.95 As I non-programmer, I have no idea if the telepathy-qt ebuild needs to be updated for 'qt4', 'qt5' exclusive 'OR' or if the version built to support the USE='qt4' is borked. But explicitly disabling USE 'qt4' for this package worked for me. # eix telepathy-qt [I] net-libs/telepathy-qt Available versions: 0.9.6.1{tbz2} {debug farstream +qt4 qt5 test} Installed versions: 0.9.6.1{tbz2}(04:41:51 PM 04/26/2016)(qt5 -debug -farstream -qt4 -test) Homepage: https://telepathy.freedesktop.org/ Description: Qt bindings for the Telepathy D-Bus protocol
Same here. But it wasn't the qt4 USE flag for me. Maybe I managed to overcome this error with a patch from here: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93707 Now, however, the compilation fails at a later stage for me with qt5 and farstream enabled.
(In reply to George Diamantopoulos from comment #5) > Same here. But it wasn't the qt4 USE flag for me. Maybe I managed to > overcome this error with a patch from here: > https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93707 > > Now, however, the compilation fails at a later stage for me with qt5 and > farstream enabled. In hindsight, this issue could be related to the recent news item regarding kde4 to plasma upgrade. If you're doing the migration and following the instructions there, you may want to read the more complete instructions at https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/KDE/Plasma_5_upgrade. It's also a good idea to read https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/KDE. If, like me, you're a long time KDE user, you problably have quite a few related custom USE settings. With upstream's changing support and migration, I found it a _very_ good idea to review all of my QT/KDE USE settings on each of my machines.
(In reply to Guy from comment #6) yep, the pressure becomes higher to switch. On my tinderbox I'll smoothly phase out the kde profile from testing. But b/c I personally use a hardened profile at my desktop together with a stable KDE ( regularly just adapt the USE flags accordingly to plasma) and furthermore I'd like to stay at the stable desktop I just thought it might be worth to report such issues knowing that those belongs to the old world and will not be supported too long from now on.
There is a missing patch for CMakeLists.txt Here it is. Put it in and it will emerge correctly. diff --git a/TelepathyQt/CMakeLists.txt b/TelepathyQt/CMakeLists.txt index 58668cd..78bccd0 100644 --- a/TelepathyQt/CMakeLists.txt +++ b/TelepathyQt/CMakeLists.txt @@ -954,6 +954,8 @@ if(ENABLE_SERVICE_SUPPORT) # lets build a static only library until we have a stable API/ABI add_library(telepathy-qt${QT_VERSION_MAJOR}-service STATIC ${telepathy_qt_service_SRCS}) + add_dependencies(telepathy-qt${QT_VERSION_MAJOR}-service telepathy-qt${QT_VERSION_MAJOR}) + # generate service moc files foreach(moc_src ${telepathy_qt_service_MOC_SRCS}) set(generated_file _gen/${moc_src}) --
Thanks. This should be fixed in -r1. https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=ccf30fa3e98841494c0f0cd826edf1aa4c522b18
