Some comments on the sourceforge download revealed, that this package hasn't been updated for a long time. On https://gitlab.com/ScumCoder/splix there's a fork of this project with additional patches.

Most fixes were already in our tarball, and there has been no recent activity, so I will keep the current version for now. But I'll keep an eye on this fork, if updates are needed later on
