Presently dev-util/mdds-0.12.1 depends on dev-libs/boost:0/1.57.0=

boost-1.57.0 was removed from the tree in commit https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/commit/0f535d4042744508ed2da69b2a2279ff37c207c7 thereby breaking the dependency.

!!! Multiple package instances within a single package slot have been pulled
!!! into the dependency graph, resulting in a slot conflict:

dev-libs/boost:0

  (dev-libs/boost-1.56.0-r1:0/1.56.0::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge) pulled in by
    (no parents that aren't satisfied by other packages in this slot)

  (dev-libs/boost-1.57.0:0/1.57.0::gentoo, installed) pulled in by
    dev-libs/boost:0/1.57.0= required by (dev-util/mdds-0.12.1:0/0.12.1::gentoo, installed)

no .. its just built against boost-1.57 and .. needs to be rebuilt ( against another version of boost) before the conflict can be resolved

.. what was your command-line that prompted this "conflict"

Well, clearly I need to re-read the section on slot dependencies. This is what I get for being out of it for a while.

Sorry for the derp.
