Your build.log is double-compressed gzip. Please create a clean attachment.
What returns `x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc test.c', where test.c file is: #include <poll.h> #include <unistd.h> #include <sys/mman.h> int main(int argc, char **argv) { struct pollfd pfd; poll(&pfd, 1, 0); fork(); int f[2]; pipe(f); munmap(f,0); return 0; }
(In reply to Coacher from comment #3) > What returns `x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc test.c', where test.c file is: More specifically: does `x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc test.c' produce any output and what is the return code of this command?

At first, sorry for the mess with the build log. An uncompressed log is attached now. About the test command: - the compile command "x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc test.c" does not produce any output, returncode is zero. executing the resulting a.out does the same - no output, returncode zero. What eles can I do for you? Regards, Martin

I see. There's no quick answer to your problem then. Please do a build test with the attached ebuild and attach the build.log here afterwards. It should fail the same way, but the log will be much more verbose. Please attach the $PORTAGE_TMPDIR/portage/media-video/mpv-0.16.0/work/mpv-0.16.0/build/config.log file after a build test with the attached ebuild.

Hhmmmm.... the attached ebuild did compile properly, and - cant believe it - the original ebuild from portage tree went well. Then I checked the system emerge.log and tried to find out what I changed after the last failed mpv emergy try. I did a "revdep-rebuild" and "perl-cleaner all" - maybe that fixed my system. I am sure the problem was on my side, not on the mpv ebuild, so I mark the bug as "resolved invalid". I hope you agree with that. Thanks for you quick cooperation. Martin
