after i emerge monodevelop and attempt to start the program via "monodevelop" it crashes. the program DOES work if i execute as root, however. Okay, first, do you have that PNG file it mentions? that comes from gnome-icon-theme or somesuch. 2nd, are you using the same theme for root and for the normal user?
emerging to gnome-icon-theme 1.2.3 worked. i had 1.2.1 or something installed.
