This repository has turned into a rubbish tip. It's packed with ebuilds that are literally years old. Most of the stuff in there is old, deprecated and not looked after *at* *all*. I think it's time to see off the repo and decommission it. If needed, we can create an experimental branch in the java-overlay repo and move all ebuilds across. But I don't really see the point moving deprecated data around for the sake of keeping it available. java-experimental is a maintenance burden in and of itself. James, let me know your thoughts on the matter. Reproducible: Always
We already agreed to get rid of it in a meeting ages ago. We just never told anyone to actually do it. I'm not sure who we need to tell, someone on infra I guess.
I can take it from here. Just tell me if it's ok to keep the contents of the repo (hidden from public), or if there's a need to shred it.
I've taken a fresh look. There are a few useful nuggets (newer jmeter, for example) but not much. I have a complete copy and I suggest monsieurp takes one too just in case. After that, it should be good to shred.
Roger. I've got a copy of the repo on my server, on my laptop and on my VM. Please proceed Michal.
