Description Ketoth Xupack 2016-03-02 22:32:52 UTC
Hi,

Our team is going to change default branch for our repository but we want to keep master branch as a stable branch for overlay.

So here is an updated descriptor - https://raw.githubusercontent.com/no-hope/fw-overlay/develop/repositories.xml

Could you please update overlay list?

Reproducible: Always

I'm sorry but I can't do that since <branch/> element is not listed in repositories.dtd. I'll CC layman maintainers so they could look into that.

Thanks!

I found that this tag is processed by layman (aw well as `branch` attribute on <source/> tag). It is mentioned in layman >=2.1.0 -- https://github.com/gentoo/layman/blob/2.1.0/doc/layman.8.txt#L468 and
https://github.com/gentoo/layman/blob/2.2.0/doc/layman.8.txt#L497

I'm closing this as CANTFIX due to no activity. In order to proceed, someone would need to champion the idea of adding branch support to repositories.xml, i.e. open a separate bug, take RFC to gentoo-dev@, etc. As for the two variants, I think attribute is more correct since sources can use different VCS-es (i.e. git and rsync).
