Description Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2016-03-02 11:59:58 UTC
I see some people randomly appends it to bug reports, some for trying to enforce that they "request" to take action on their bugs, others for the purpose of the flag:
Request for a new ebuild to be created in portage.

But, either for versions bumps or for creating new packages.

In any case, I don't see much sense on having a KEYWORD for something that we already have an specific assign (maintainer-wanted) and even a Component (New ebuild)

Thanks

I support this change.

The problem is that removing it will imply removing it from all bugs. Which implies bugmail for over 2400 bugs (incl. closed).

does that actually happen ? it's not mentioned in the docs that i can see, and the warning message for keyword deletion doesn't mention it either.

worse comes to worse, we can run an sql command against the db to drop it from bugs silently.

I'll try it on bugstest when I get home.

You are correct. I've removed it then.
