For some reason, it looks like many people tend to wrongly use this component for providing "new ebuilds" that are only version bumps of existing packages and, then, they don't belong here. Then, I think it would be better to rename "New ebuild" component to something more explicit like "New packages" one Thanks
I agree. The description would need updating too (currently "Component for adding ebuilds. They will be moved by a developer to the correct component."). I wonder if we should have a "Version bump" component as well?
Personally I don't think having so many components is really useful specially when most of us only use Applications one and I doubt many maintainers would bother on moving bugs to use "Version bump" component or taking care it's properly set... If components could also take care of setting some common rules for the bug report (like setting them by default to "enhancement" for version bumps or to set the usual "stable request" in summaries for Stabilizations component) they could be more interesting... but it doesn't seem to be possible :/ Anyway, that is a different topic and it's only my opinion :), here I am only taking care of this concrete component ;)
