portage should (especially when called with -v) print out the arguments it sends to ./configure

This would make it a lot easier to find out why some feature didn't get enabled/disabled the way we would have liked

Should be in pre17 afaik.  That said, it's rather ugly as a default...

you know, i thought so too at first, but i find it very useful and since it's really a big overhead issue ...
