Description Remy Blank 2016-02-28 21:12:57 UTC
zfs 0.6.5.4 supports 4.4 kernels, but the ebuilds above still check for at most 4.3. The -r1 ebuilds correctly check for 4.4.

I just built both modules with 4.4.3. I haven't rebooted yet, so I can't tell if they actually work. I will report back if they don't.

Reproducible: Always

Rebooted into 4.4.3, and 0.6.5.4 seems to work great.
Comment 2 Jason Borden 2016-04-28 17:42:24 UTC
I'd like to add that ebuilds for 0.6.5.6 also need updating to allow up to 4.5 kernels.

This has been adressed in

  08 May 2016; Mike Gilbert <floppym@gentoo.org> zfs-kmod-0.6.5.6.ebuild:
  sys-kernel/spl: 0.6.5.6 is kernel 4.5 compatible
