Americas army works well on amd64 with the new nvidia drivers. Please add a ~amd64 keyword (and a depend on emul-linux-x86-xlibs). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Done.
I'm sorry, but this is just plain wrong. For one, the game *only* works with an nvidia card, and so far people have had mixed results. I don't consider that to be working, and definitely not warranted for amd64 KEYWORDS rather than ~amd64. For example, the game does not work for me, and I have the newest nvidia drivers also. $ glxinfo | grep direct direct rendering: Yes $ glxinfo | grep version server glx version string: 1.3 client glx version string: 1.3 OpenGL version string: 1.5.1 NVIDIA 61.06 $ emerge -vp emul-linux-x86-xlibs emul-linux-x86-nvidia These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating dependencies ...done! [ebuild R ] app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-xlibs-1.1-r1 0 kB [ebuild R ] app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-nvidia-1.0.6106-r1 0 kB I am going to REOPEN this bug, simply because the package is NOT stable, and shouldn't even have amd64 KEYWORDS at all. If the original poster had to do ANYTHING other than simply typing "armyops" at the command line, then the package would need to be modified, which it wasn't, to be operable on amd64. I am this package's maintainer, and I run an amd64, and I cannot get it to work, which is why I DID NOT KEYWORD IT...
This works great on AMD64. You still have to set export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib32/opengl/nvidia/lib/ before you try to run it. This was suppose to be fixed by the latest opengl-update but it obviously did not work. Also, the game should work in software mode if you don't have nvidia. I will have to verify this though. I will elevate the opengl-update issue over on that thread.
Works perfect with latest emul libs from nvidia.
