I only use the MSN protocol, so i have no idea if this problem also applies to the others. When i've logged in to my MSN account and i click the Chat button, gaim crashes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Gaim 2. Login to MSN account 3. Click "Chat" Actual Results: gaim crashes (closes) Expected Results: Perhaps ask a screenname you'd like to chat with like the "Get Info" button does, or just do nothing. Can duplicate here. Can/have you report this upstream. BTW. Gaim MSN protocol doesn't support chat yet, I don't think.
Add Gaim bug #995342.
This bug has been confirmed upstream by devs. A fix is being worked on.
Patch is here http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=995366&group_id=235&atid=300235 I'm testing it now and will commit to 0.80 (no revision bump) when done.
Fixed in revision 1.4 of gaim-0.80.ebuild.
