SCTP is some kind of TCP-successor and supported by Linux 2.6. I'd like to see an sctp-tools ebuild, so other libraries/packages can depend on it. sctp-tools also includes the required man-pages. greets, Christian Parpart. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge sctp-tools Actual Results: ebuild not found. Expected Results: package emerged :P thanks ;)
When you add the other applications make them depend on this bug. Please look at http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml describing how to make ebuilds and seek help on IRC at #gentoo-bugs if you get stuck.
Created attachment 37893 [details] initial ebuild for lksctp-tools-1.0.1 I didn't yet go into the deep with sctp but I'm planning to. For those who need it... Regards, Andy.
I just put this into the tree for some work of my own, and only checked bugzilla after the fact ;-). net-misc/lksctp-tools as that is the name upstream uses.
