Other distributions have removed this package along with the obsolete reverse deps needing it but, if you do not want to do it... can you at least disable the support for glade:3? It is the only consumer of the old and obsolete glade slot and it looks like no reverse dep needs it Thanks
I'd be happy to lastrite it but I'll have to check its revdeps.
commit d63a66bf9c3b796e4a9d321acdcd594ea585de5b Author: Michał Górny <mgorny@gentoo.org> Date: Fri Feb 19 19:23:30 2016 xfce-base/libxfcegui4: Remove support for obsolete glade:3, #575166 I don't have time to fight the rev-deps right now but feel free to push them along with libxfcegui4 through treecleaners at some point.
As a note: I've looked through revdeps, and will clean up old versions whenever that killed libxfcegui4 dep as soon as I get CI confirmation [1]. As for the remaining packages, most of them are stable, haven't seen any updates in years and sometimes we even have newer versions that upstream homepages... OK thanks a lot :)
Ah, would you mind if I drop the old libxfce4ui-4.10.0.ebuild along with xfce4-settings-4.10.1? Its newer version (4.12) loses the glade dep and it looks like no reverse dep need the old versions... but I am not sure if you have any policy for dropping xfce 4.10 packages or something like that :/
As long as keywords and revdeps are fine, feel free to.
