Bug 575004 – perl-core/libnet 3.50.0 is missing

There is a libnet package in perl-core and a virtual package called libnet. It would seem they are related to one another. However, the current version of virtual/perl-libnet is 3.50.0, but there is no corresponding version for perl-core/libnet:

If I mask virtual/perl-libnet is 3.50.0 and I emerge MailTools, I get this

[ebuild  N     ] virtual/perl-libnet-1.270.0::gentoo  0 KiB

If it's not masked, then I get this:

[ebuild   R    ] dev-perl/MailTools-2.140.0::gentoo  USE="{-test}" 0 KiB

There is no actual perl-core/libnet corresponding to perl-libnet-3.50.0.

Should there be ?

Going by the ebuild content, the virtual is satisfied by dev-lang/perl-5.22.

It's satisfied by Perl 5.22.
