I want to collect here some information for everybody, who tries to bump to 4.0.2 4.0.2 has been announced yesterday, but release is not complete yet. https://launchpad.net/kicad/4.0/kicad-4.0.2 4.0.2 is a bugfix release and I could compile it after cp kicad-4.0.1.ebuild kicad-4.0.2.ebuild Additionally I had to copy the i18n and library files, because they are not yet released: cp /usr/portage/distfiles/kicad-4.0.1-i18n.tar.gz /usr/portage/distfiles/kicad-4.0.2-i18n.tar.gz cp /usr/portage/distfiles/kicad-4.0.1-library.tar.gz /usr/portage/distfiles/kicad-4.0.2-library.tar.gz Then it compiles and works. In contrast to the announcement on the launchpad website we will have to wait a few days until the release is complete. It should work with a simple rename of the ebuild then.
kicad-library-4.0.2 seems to be available already, however kicad-i18n lags behind. I will ask upstream whether they plan to update it any time soon, otherwise I might go with the previous translation files for now and update the ebuild later once 4.0.2 is available also for i18n.
