ls -l /usr/lib/tls/*

rm /usr/lib/tls and a re-emerge of nvidia-glx fixes it on my end.

Yes removing the directory is the userspace fix, but we need to know what is in that directory (or azarah does anyway).

OK I get whats happening, if the only files in /usr/lib/tls are 
*nvidia*
or tls -> /usr/lib/opengl/nvidia/lib/tls 

You can rm -rf /usr/lib/tls && emerge nvidia-glx 

However if they are not dont remove that directory.

Allright there is a nvidia-glx -r3 and opengl-update 1.8.1 coming through cvs shortly which will solve this problem all together.
