Description Arnaud Vallette d'Osia 2016-02-10 10:08:32 UTC
Deceiving to me : Qtractor seems to link somehow against canberra-gtk
my libcanberra is emerged with following flags :
media-libs/libcanberra-0.30-r5::gentoo USE="gtk3 pulseaudio -alsa -gnome -gstreamer -gtk -oss -sound -tdb -udev" ABI_X86="(64) -32 (-x32)"

Launcing qtractor produced a :
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
Abandon

I did :
USE="gtk" emerge -1v libcanberra

Then qtractor exits printing only "Abandon"
I can dig a bit further if needed.

Reproducible: Always

not sure what can be done here, I have libcanberra installed but not the bug

if it "crashes" maybe a gdb trace will help, otherwise 'strace qtractor' would help too

Agreed, it's been a year I posted it.

Libcanberra is on my system now for one.

And I don't mean to see if version 0.8.0 still crashes. I don't need qtractor now.
