Description Patrice Clement gentoo-dev 2016-02-03 22:38:03 UTC
Title says it all.

We should strive for a more efficient, better and easy to understand piece of documentation. There should be two different pages:
- one written from a (casual) contributor PoV.
- one written from a developer PoV.

https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Gentoo_git_workflow contains too much convoluted information that is hard to decipher for the average user who wants to fork the git repo on Github and sends a PR. At the moment, this page is a hodgepodge of everything that doesn't really make sense except for the seasoned Gentoo developer who's suffered through the pain of getting git to work with the Gentoo git repo.

The page written for contributors should be really short and dead easy to understand. The other page for developers can contain as much info as needed, it doesn't matter really, and is out of the scope of this task.

Reproducible: Always
