Yes, xMule's ebuild is many months old. The latest stable release is 1.8.4. It solves, among other things, every bug listed on both bugs.gentoo.org, bugs.debian.org, and all other known bugs. We feel it should be elevated to stable x86 instead of the current, and very outdated, xMule 1.6.0-r1. Additionally, the homepage for xMule needs to be changed to http://www.xmule.ws/ You can go there for the latest sources too. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Thanks for the note on the 1.8.4 update, it is now in portage. As for the stable branch, there are problems reported with xmule < 1.8.2-r3, so I am waiting to release that one on the stable branch, which can happen on the 27th of this month, per policy. You can look forward to the big xmule-stable-x86-update then, if no issues come up :).
stable on x86 now. I know, it's a bit early, but it has been very stable for all people I have talked to.
