Latest portage snapshot available is '20160124', we are missing '20160125'. There is no known issues on infra-status.g.o I'm sorry if I missed the project under which this should be filed. Reproducible: Always
The problem still exists. I have checked several mirrors and the latest portage snapshot is still 20160124. E.g.

http://seal.cs.uni.edu/snapshots/
http://gentoo.mirror.web4u.cz/snapshots/
http://mirror.netcologne.de/gentoo/snapshots/
and many more. Martin
And https://infra-status.gentoo.org/ pretends everything is ok
I can confirm it. The funny thing is that the squashfs images are updated.
confirmed and waiting :) (snapshots/squashfs/gentoo-current.sqfs is outdated too but this is another issue)
Not sure if it's related, but I'm getting this while extracting the last available snapshot: Getting snapshot timestamp ... Syncing local tree ... tar: portage/metadata/.checksum-test-marker: time stamp 2017-06-29 19:25:21 is 44773982.362206814 s in the future timestamp problem confusing a script maybe?

No, that file deliberately has a future timestamp, see bug 572578 for details and discussion on squashing the false positive warning.
Missing snapshots are now in place. 25/26 are just copies of 24 to reduce any issues with the deltas.

But what about the portage-latest.tar.bz2 ? From http://distfiles.gentoo.org/snapshots/ it looks presently like not being updated. I think it is a different bug.
