This patch sets dialog hinting on the splash screen so that it looks good on tiled/dynamic window managers. I've tested it with awesome WM myself. I've sent the patch upstream, but they don't seem too concerned with the issue (it's been open since 2014). Feel free to include the patch in Gentoo, or not.

Steps to Reproduce:
Start GNUCash.
Actual Results:  
Splash screen fills screen on tiled/dynamic window managers.

Expected Results:  
Splash screen should be centered and floating.
