Dovecot 0.99.10.7 was released. Latest version in Portage is 0.99.10.6. Here the fixed bugs: + Added outlook-pop3-no-nuls workaround to fix Outlook hang in mails with NULs. + Config file lines can now contain quoted strings ("value ") - If client didn't finish downloading a single mail in 30 seconds, Dovecot closed the connection. This was supposed to work so that if client hasn't read data at all in 30 seconds, it's disconnected. - Maildir: LIST now doesn't skip symlinks The old ebuild has to be changed because dovecot's homepage url changed: --- /usr/portage/net-mail/dovecot/dovecot-0.99.10.6.ebuild 2004-06-25 01:36:51.000000000 +0200 +++ dovecot-0.99.10.7.ebuild 2004-07-15 09:52:00.128027063 +0200 @@ -5,8 +5,8 @@ IUSE="debug ipv6 ldap mbox pam postgres sasl ssl gnutls vpopmail nopop3d" DESCRIPTION="An IMAP and POP3 server written with security primarily in mind" -HOMEPAGE="http://dovecot.procontrol.fi/" -SRC_URI="${HOMEPAGE}/${P}.tar.gz" +HOMEPAGE="http://dovecot.org" +SRC_URI="${HOMEPAGE}/releases/${P}.tar.gz" SLOT="0" LICENSE="LGPL-2.1" Otherwise the old ebuild still works.
latest is 0.99.10.8
Today the latest version is 0.99.10.9: v0.99.10.9 2004-07-31 Timo Sirainen <tss at iki.fi> - MySQL compiling got broken in last release - More PostgreSQL reconnection fixing v0.99.10.8 2004-07-30 Timo Sirainen <tss at iki.fi> + LDAP support compiles now with Solaris LDAP library - IMAP BODY and BODYSTRUCTURE replies were wrong for MIME parts which didn't contain Content-Type header. - MySQL and PostgreSQL auth didn't reconnect if connection was lost to SQL server - Linking fixes for dovecot-auth with some systems - Last fix for disconnecting client when downloading mail longer than 30 seconds actually made it never disconnect client. Now it works properly: disconnect when client hasn't read _any_ data for 30 seconds. Together with the changes from comment #1 the latest ebuild in portage still works fine with the new versions. BTW Grand Goodyear the maintainer of this packages is out of town until August 12th, thus it will probably take at least 2 weeks until the new version enters portage.
Thanks! Sorry for the delay. Now in CVS.
Thanks for adding it. You added 0.99.10.7 into Portage, but not the current version 0.99.10.9 (which fixes several bugs from 0.99.10.7). I think it's because I failed to update the summary field when the new version was released or is there an other reason?
Arghhh! Sorry about that; I'm an idiot. .9 now in CVS.
