I've been doing some random LLVM testing and it seems that julia has the same kind of late build failures with llvm-3.4 and 3.5 for me. Since 3.4 is next on my cleanup list, I'd appreciate if you could figure out if it really works with 3.5. Or just lastrite it ;-P.
It actively doesn't ;) I remember an issue where for example tests failed because llvm 3.5 handles null differently, so the 0.3 versions are stuck with 3.4 So unless someone manages to bump to 0.4.2 (which is mostly adding a ton of stuff to SRC_URI) it's a dead parrot
Julia-0.4.3 seems to play nicely with llvm-3.7. commit 9f85644c4b07c3b4340594082da6e3d317e9bea9 Author: Matthias Maier <tamiko@gentoo.org> Date: Sat Jan 16 12:25:10 2016 +0100 dev-lang/julia: version bump to 0.4.3 (bug 564338) Package-Manager: portage-2.2.26
