digest-mplayer-1.0_pre5 says:
MD5 d91522b2461ea65e88a75b6b0061e4ba MPlayer-1.0pre5.tar.bz2 5073503
(as of 2004-07-15 02:01 UTC)

but the actual file size on mplayer's page and on gentoo's servers is 5072836 bytes, MD5 fbe6919eb025526e8ed129cd61a49969.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge =mplayer-1.0_pre5
Actual Results:  
emerge tries to download file, downloads the 5072836 byte version, then tries to
resume download (since it wants 5073503 bytes), and eventually fails

Expected Results:  
properly emerge mplayer...

This was fixed in cvs.  The issue was that the wrong tarball was on one of the mplayer release servers.  Sync to get fixed :).
