emerge --info

I want to install nvidia-drivers for my Quadro FX580 so that boinc can use cuda. After masking >=x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-341.0.0 as instructed by the emerge, version 340.96 is scheduled for installation. But I get this:

!!! Fetched file: NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-340.96.run VERIFY FAILED!
!!! Reason: Filesize does not match recorded size
!!! Got: 26378240
!!! Expected: 69824601
Refetching... File renamed to '/usr/portage/distfiles/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-340.96.run._checksum_failure_._f9oeqm8'

This is after emerge --sync a few times.

I fetched the .run file from nVidia's website and it's now emerging okay.

Because you didn't post the actual build log, I have no idea where you were fetching from.

I seem to have fallen foul of a bad proxy, now fixed.

Many thanks and humble apologies.
