Much like https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=570010

ffmpeg has internal codecs for decoding these(and almost any other) formats, external libs requied only for high quality ENCODING.

I'll check it out.  I wasn't aware that x264 and mp3 decoding was available in ffmpeg without those flags enabled.
