Attached below is the ebuild for zope.interface, the standalone distribution of of Zope's interface library.  Many python apps use this for API enforcement.

hello, 
as we have zopex3 in portage now (emerge search zopex3) and it has /usr/lib/zopex3-3.0.0_rc1/lib/python/zope/interface direcory, maybe its enough for You ?

as i checked zopeinterfaces are not updated to current rc1 zope3 release. Is it sensisble to include older interfaces into portage now? COuld You please elaborate more on the topic?

The purpose of this ebuild is to provide the Zope Interfaces module without having to install all of Zope (100kb v. 2.9MB compressed).

It is true that the interfaces distribution lags behind the big Zope distribution, since the interfaces module is just broken out of Zope.  I would expect an updated interfaces distribution shortly ...

thanx to Sourav Mandal  for initial ebuild and fdrake from zope, zopeinterface-3.0.0final is commited into portage.
