sys-apps/lm_sensors-3.4.0 and sys-apps/lm_sensors-3.3.5 both crash when the system goes into suspend. It appears that this happens because my pwm device becomes temporarily unavailable. -- Motherboard: Gigabyte H97M-D3H BIOS Version: F6 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start fancontrol 2. echo mem > /sys/power/state 3. Resume the system

Well, this is probably a "it87" driver issue (at least in 2015 no support for suspend/resume was implemented). Fancontrol is just a Bash script... Have you tried to reproduce the issue with a recent kernel? Workaround: 1. Stop fancontrol service on suspend 2. On resume reload it87 module and start fancontrol again
Apologies for the late reply. I no longer have access to the problematic hardware, so it may be best to close this.
