I am pleased to introduce Alexander Plank (alexander) he will be helping out with Gentoo/macos. Alexander has been waiting for pvdabeel to open a bug or him for a week now, so I ask that his training period be shorted to 1 week. Both Pieter and I have contacted Deedra to clear this. He has already shown great intrest and skill and will make a great addition to the team. I will mentor him and take him through the quiz etc. His training period will start July 15th 2004 and end July 22nd 2004. His description follows: I'm good with Perl and c++. I've also been looking into PHP. I'm thinking about learning objective-c, and I'm definitely going to learn more Java. I'm currently doing freelance work for a couple of clients (both perl and PHP jobs) and I do maintenance PHP work on http://wrongplanet.net (the website I recently started). I recently became a member of the Wonder Warp Software group (http://wonderwarp.com) which creates macintosh software. I've been using gentoo for about 2 years (before that I used Red hat and Debian) and I'm fairly familiar with the portage system (I tried to submit a couple of ebuilds about a year ago but they didn't work as I didn't have much programming experience back then). I'm running a 15' powerbook g4 that I just purchased. I've been running a Pentium 4 computer with the 2.6.6 gentoo-dev kernel. I look forward to trying to help you out with the portage on os-x project. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Alexander, please come see me on IRC (/msg eradicator) when you get the chance. Thanks.
