After the latest world emerge, VirtualBox fails to start any virtual machine. When trying to launch a vm, the launcher window briefly appears, then closes again. The session icon beside the vm name changes from "Powered off" to "Aborted" (and stays that way from then on). Intermittently (usually on each first attempt to start a given vm, not reproducble on subsequent attempts), an error pops up. Unfortunately I have not recorded all error messages, as there were different ones. One was "Failed to get a console object from the direct session (NS_ERROR_ABORT)". This is a silly question, but you didn't happen to have the version 5.0.10 modules still loaded when trying to start a vm under 5.0.12?

No, I've rebooted after every recompilation of 5.0.12 (and -modules, -extpack-oracle, -additions). I compiled the modules anew for every tested kernel (4.3.0 and 4.3.3) and rmmod/modprobed them before each test cycle. I did the downgrade to 5.0.10 only at the very end.
Is this still an issue with virtualbox-5.0.16?
The problem does not occur with virtualbox-bin-5.0.16-105871. I currently have no possibility to test with virtualbox-5.0.16.
