Can you please read this bug: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84727 Especially, comment number 7 Thanks, Norberto
It has been noted .... see other bugs dependent on 54984 if you wish.
Just commited fixes for TLS and glext.h to cvs. Please update your portage tree and remerge nvidia-glx (which should ask you to update to opengl-update-1.8 if it doesnt you havent got the new version yet). The changes should fix the error. Please report back.
Fixed.
I believe that I have the new version as I was asked to upgrade opengl-update and I am still having a problem with things crashing due to libnvidia-tls. Heres some output from frozen-bubble which depicts the problem. I get the same error from things such as epsxe as well.
pr0phet@octoboy ~ $ frozen-bubble Can't load '/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.1/i686-linux/auto/SDL_perl/SDL_perl.so' for module SDL_perl: libnvidia-tls.so.1: cannot handle TLS data at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.4/i686-linux/DynaLoader.pm line 230.
I'm using kernel 2.6.8-rc2-love3 if that provides any help. I've read that it may be a problem with glibc. In that case, i'm running 2.3.4.20040619
Now I have the same the bug under nvidia-glx 1.0.6111!!!! Doing as http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84727 fixes the problem! Why there are two directorys? /usr/lib/opengl/nvidia/lib and /usr/lib/opengl/nvidia/lib/tls
